THE TRIANGLE/PEAR BODY SHAPE
Dressing your body shape is part and parcel of accessing the tools that will make you look good on the outside which in the end affects how we feel on the inside, but it is important that there is a balance of self-love on the inside as well as the outside. Following the guidelines will help you look fantastic but it's just as important to embrace your shape and love who you are from the inside out.
The Triangle is the most common female shape.
The Triangle Body Shape is often referred to as the 'Pear' Shape. Characteristic of the Triangle Body Shape include, narrow shoulders, a small waist and large hips. This is a bottom-heavy frame common for full thighs and a heavy bottom which will be at lease 7.5 cm larger than the full bust line.
The Triangle is a beautiful feminine body shape and can be balanced easily by visually broadening the upper Body.
Let's take a look at the basic breakdown of the Triangle.
- Full hips or thighs
- A defined waist
- Shoulders narrower than hips
- A small top half as well as bust
WHAT TO DO
- Wear garments that are waist shaping
- Boot leg and straight leg pants flatter your shape
- Shoulder enhancing style
- Horizontal lines above the waist
- Shorts and dresses that are straight or slightly flared
- Always draw attention to your upper body
WHAT NOT TO DO
- Avoid stiff fabrics
- Shapeless garments
- Hems at the widest point
- Full skirts with open pleats
- Tapered pants
These are guidelines to finding your body shape, having said that we all have our own individual aspects that make our shape unique but knowing the basics will help guide you in the right direction.
